“Local government is about service delivery and I believe that by being in the Human Settlement and Infrastructure Committee I will contribute to the betterment of people’s lives. I’m excited about being in this committee, because I believe that we need strong leadership to ensure that people get the services they deserve” he said.
Veeran said with 85% of the budget going to Human settlement and Infrastructure “Is a huge responsibility for people who will be serving in this committee. That is why we need to make sure that we get value for money. I’m happy with the Mayor pronunciation and his tough stance of cracking down on councilor and official doing business with the Municipality” he said.
He said “Decisive action needs to taken against those found to be breaking the law and fluting council regulation”
